A Helping Hand for Artists of the Asheville Arts District
and Western North Carolina

Hurricane Helene left a mark, and Left of Center Art Space is stepping up to lend a hand. We're offering our gallery space to WNC artists who lost their art or studios in the storm, allowing them to display and sell their work without worrying about fees or commissions.

About the Project

Support Through Space

From November 8 through December 2024, we’re opening our doors to give artists a spot to shine and sell. 100% of every sale goes directly to the artists, helping them rebuild after the hurricane’s impact.

Why It Matters

The loss of physical spaces due to Hurricane Helene severely impacted Asheville artists, cutting off vital sources of income and exposure. Galleries not only facilitate sales but also nurture artists’ careers and well-being. Providing a space to show and sell while these artists wait for their local outlets to bounce back is crucial for economic recovery and maintaining the cultural vitality of the greater community. Buying art during this time gives you a beautiful piece for your home and gives back to the artists who need it most. It’s a simple and effective way to help out our neighbors to the south.
